  • B.Tech. /B.E-Mining with Second class Manager's Certificate - Coal with 4 to 8 Year relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts daily toolbox talk and take over the shift operations
  • Supervise mining operations such as mine production/mine development/road construction/ dewatering/blasting/dust control/haul road maintenance/dump stability as per approved plans, specifications/policies/ procedures.
  • Plan and Organize the Drilling / Blasting/coal seam removal activities in the shift as per company SOPs/DGMS/CMR 2017 guidelines
  • Supervise/Manager the Shift overman/ Sirdar for safe and productive operations to meet the daily production/dispatch goals.
  • Coordinate and ensure smooth Coal tipper movement from the mine to the coal handling plant
  • Work closely with Electrical and Mechanical sections to ensure continuous, safe and efficient operation of the shift
  • Undertake preparatory works for the monsoon
  • Participate in collecting the coal samples for testing
  • Ensure operations/maintenance/equipment deployment records as per DGMS guidelines/SOPs.
  • Guide overman/sirdar on problems faced during coal extraction from time to time
  • Take periodic rounds in the mine , observe operations/equipment/operators and ensure compliance to safety guidelines/safety plan/Environment/DGMS guidelines/SOPs
  • Plan and coordinate activities of the mine operations
  • Guide and coach contract employees on safe behaviors and develop safety culture .
  • Coordinating & monitoring all the mines activities as per mining acts, rules & regulations
  • Manage all contractors to produce or supply in line with their contract parameters,
  • Develop, maintain and improve area and work standards and procedures. Lead and coach subordinates in this process.
  • Undertake measures/projects to improve productivity, reduce cost and improve safety
