Responsibilities

  • - Support the Merchandiser with effectively planning and trading across the division.
  • - Initiate and propose actions through analysis of brand, category or attribute trading patterns in order to deliver the KPI’s.
  • - Achieve the divisional KPI’s including sales, margin and open to buy (OTB) levels.
  • - Work closely with internal teams across Buying, Retail, Distribution and our external vendors.
  • - Manage the range over its lifecycle, communicating opportunities and risks to internal stakeholders.
  • - Monitor and review performance of direct reports, identifying individuals who are ready for promotion or require performance improvement plans.
  • - Challenge Merchandising processes to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively to support the business.
  • - Carry out in-season reviews to offer valuable analysis for the Merchandiser and Buyers to make strategic decisions for future season plans.
  • - Reforecast in-season performance against plan, taking action in order to maximise profit.
