What qualifications are required for applicants?
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in the social sciences, humanities, or law, with a focus on sociolegal studies or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
Is teaching experience required for this position?
Yes, evidence of excellence in teaching is required, which should be demonstrated through a record of teaching accomplishments, a teaching dossier, and strong letters of reference.
What are the areas of expertise that the Centre is particularly interested in?
The Centre is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in law and society, focusing on areas such as colonialism and decolonization, property and dispossession, environmental justice, critical urbanism, and new technologies, among others.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, a research statement, a recent writing sample, and a teaching dossier, including a teaching statement, teaching evaluations, and sample syllabi and course materials.
