Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support Scenario Analysis, External Events, and assist with related programs such as Change Risk Assessments and Operational Resilience practice goals, objectives, and deliverables for the team based on ORM and Stakeholder priorities,
  • Ensure practice deliverables are met with timeliness and accuracy (e.g., reporting, testing, etc.),
  • Adopt strategic directions of the practices and implement with stakeholders, policies/standard and in tooling and processes,
  • Enable continual improvement of practices, in consultation with and alignment to Risk Practice strategy, including actively seek to simplify requirements where appropriate to enable consistent practices,
  • Develop and evolve the practices to support enterprise risk management,
  • Provide expert advice on operational risk, leveraging insights from operational risk reporting and analytics, independent reviews and industry perspective to ensure RBC’s operational risk practices maintains a forward-looking view that considers both managed and emerging risks,
  • Monitor compliance to policy, and communicating exceptions to Advisory & Oversight (A&O) for liaison with 1st LOD and other impacted parties,
  • Actively support business partners in all lines of defence such as business operational leads, the A&O and Centre of Governance,
  • Ensure stakeholders are enabled with appropriate operational risk tools and resources to react proactively regarding the risk practices,
  • Prioritize and facilitate responses to queries and ad hoc requests coming from internal and external stakeholders,
  • Support other areas of the team, as required.
