Requirements

  • Candidate should be a graduate/post-graduate with strong academic records and relevant experience in procurement, spend analysis, category management, cost transformation or performance improvement roles.
  • Procurement function, process, sourcing and Category specific experience is a Plus.
  • Graduate (preferably with degree in engineering / science / commerce / business / economics) with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience or an MBA/Post-Graduate with high academic records having 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), team management and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of visualization and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI (Python is a Plus).
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, handle multiple tasks, dynamic case expectations and work in a team set up.
  • Effective communication skills and ability and deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders (Bain managers, partners, and clients).

Responsibilities

  • Work on problem solving, work-planning, analytics, research, and overall content to generate business insights and implications, deliver cases & deliverables. Role often requires leading a team of 1-2 analysts/ Workstream, based on case requirement. You will also help in developing intellectual property (IP), go-to-market materials, pitch documents and publications. The position reports into a Manager.
  • Own end to end case delivery of Performance Improvement projects related to Procurement / Cost Transformation. This includes the following:
  • Assist case teams across Bain’s ecosystem to analyze the problem and deploy the most appropriate tool/solution.
  • Understand client’s data using P&L, ERP Systems, budgeting systems, supplier databases and purchase order systems to design the solution.
  • Deliver procurement solutions across multiple fronts including spend analytics, savings lever design, supplier analysis, strategic sourcing, savings initiative design, among others.
  • Create dashboards-based deliverables using Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI or similar analytical tools.
  • Utilize appropriate research sources and analytical tools to identify and employ relevant data-driven insights for effective decision-making.
  • Identify and use relevant analytical tools and internal repositories to extract information.
  • Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team.
  • Effectively communicate with BCN leadership/case teams/end clients and manage relationships.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to quickly grasp various business domains, conducting research and analysis across diverse geographies and industries with agility and efficiency.
  • Engage and ideate in developing new products/IP.
  • Deliver client ready documents containing implementable solutions.
  • Lead individual project work streams with the help of 1-2 directly aligned team members (analysts).
  • Willing to groom a team of analysts and support them as and when required.
