Responsibilities

  • Lead the counseling program to maintain accreditation standards with CACREP and meet state licensure and certification standards, including submission of reports.
  • Manage curricular reviews (course schedules, plans of study, curriculum changes, and catalog updates) and fall, spring, and summer course schedules.
  • Actively participate in recruitment, hiring, and retention of Core and temporary faculty.
  • Lead the Assessment Committee by collaborating closely with faculty to implement the assessment plan and maintain curriculum quality.
  • Engage in budget planning and effectively manage the operational budget (under the direction of the Director of SECHD).
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students, using student-centered approaches that support positive outcomes for all students.
  • Assist with faculty, staff, and student mentoring.
  • Contribute to teaching high quality courses in various formats (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and provide support for new digital delivery cohort.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, creative achievement, and/or research to support the mission and goals of the Counseling and Human Resource Development (CHRD) program.
  • Represent the school to internal and external constituencies in coordination with the Director (i.e. Through engaging and develop community relationships and supporting development/foundation/fundraising efforts).
  • Other duties as assigned by the School Director or Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences.
