Responsibilities

  • The Backend Technical Leader role works alongside our VP of Security Innovation to develop the backend of the Management Plane driving our next-generation security product, Cisco Hypershield. The management plane is responsible for managing and monitoring and is the brains of our product. As a leader, you will identify and solve obstacles to achieving our vision.
  • In this role, you should expect to review existing technologies, identify areas to leverage and drive improvement, and create groundbreaking new technology from scratch. You will be part of a small team driving the next evolution of security at Cisco and beyond and must be a self-starter able to work under minimal direction.
  • You will be looked to both internally and externally Cisco for your expertise, and as such must have deep experience in firewalls, secure web gateways, and/or SASE/SSE. You will use this knowledge coupled with your ambition to write high-quality, production-ready code to re-invent security with us.
