What is the primary responsibility of the Band 4 Medical Secretary?

You will be required to reliably enter data into the GP PAS system, specifically using Care First, SystemOne, Emis, and Rio computer systems.
What types of correspondence will I handle in this position?
You will handle various types of correspondence, including the receipt of all correspondence, audio transcription, and text processing of clinical letters and reports as required by the medical team.
Will I be responsible for booking appointments?
Yes, you will be responsible for booking new patient appointments as part of your administrative duties.

You will need to communicate politely, friendly, and courteously with visitors, staff, patients, GPs, and other relevant external agencies.
