The primary responsibility of a Bid Associate is to manage high-stakes bids, implement best practices across the bid lifecycle, and create compelling marketing materials while coordinating with the UK Bid Team.
What qualifications or experience are required for this role?
Candidates should have previous experience in bid-oriented roles at a senior or managerial level, strong copywriting and editing skills, experience in managing tight deadlines, and prior office experience. Line management and mentoring experience are also preferred.
Is prior experience in specific industries preferred for this position?
Yes, prior experience within an architectural practice, construction, or engineering industries would be advantageous.
What skills are necessary for a Bid Associate candidate?
Necessary skills include excellent computer and IT proficiency (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams), strong copywriting and editing skills, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, is advantageous.
Will I be expected to travel for this position?
Yes, occasional travel to Buro Happold offices in Bath, London, Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh may be required.
