You will perform healthcare science activities under the indirect supervision/direction of a suitably qualified practitioner.
What will my responsibilities include regarding sample handling?
Your responsibilities will include the pre-analytical processing of samples to include receipt, preparation, and processing, as well as storing, retrieving, and disposing of biological material according to relevant procedures.
Will I be required to handle queries from medical staff and others?
Yes, you will deal with direct queries from Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, and other Service Users, including telephone inquiries.
Does this role involve training or supervising less experienced staff?
Yes, you may be required to supervise, organize, and allocate work and/or train less experienced staff in your area as a support worker.
