Responsibilities

  • The post holder will work closely with the Lead Biomedical Scientist and Senior Biomedical Scientists to provide a 24/7 laboratory service to the Trust and its users.
  • The post holder will act as a registered Biomedical Scientist working in Haematology and Blood Transfusion providing scientific services on patient samples as an aid to the clinical diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of paediatric disease.
  • The post holder will preferably have a practical and theoretical knowledge of laboratory haematology, coagulation and blood transfusion.
  • The post holder will rotate between all sections of the haematology laboratory and with appropriate training, participate in the departments out of hours working arrangements.
