We are currently seeking maternity cover on a part-time basis (up to 29 hours per week) for a one-year period in the role of HR Generalist, based on site at our offices in Eastleigh.
As an HR Generalist you will provide an effective HR service, giving first line support and guidance to Managers and Employees within the Bishopstoke Plant on a full range of HR topics, working as part of the broader UK HR Team and operating within a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.
Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Support the delivery of best practice human resource solutions to support the business in achieving improved performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Support the local implementation of HR strategy including compensation and benefits, training, strategic recruitment programs and employee relations programs.
  • Uphold and support managers with Prysmian (both global and UK) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and escalating as necessary.
  • Support and administer the absence management process including monitoring employee absence, providing guidance to Managers on the relevant Absence Control Procedure.
  • Assist Line Managers to develop job descriptions and recruitment advertisements.
  • In conjunction with Talent Acquisition coordinate the recruitment process, including screening CVs, participate in interviews / assessment centres and draft offers of employment. Ensure that an effective and timely recruitment process is provided.
  • Manage the onboarding and induction processes in accordance with UK Policies and Procedures.
  • Handle employee relations issues, supporting Managers with investigations of misconduct issues, complaints or grievances; problem and conflict resolution and corrective actions predominantly with the non-desk worker population.
  • Support Discipline and Grievance processes and provide guidance to Line Managers to ensure best practice.
  • Support monthly payroll administration, in accordance with agreed payroll procedures, including maintenance of data in TMS and Workday.
  • Support the implementation of actions identified via the annual Speak Up Survey to enhance the employee experience within the Bishopstoke Plant.
We are looking for suitably qualified candidates with previous experience in a similar role who have a proven track record of providing support to Line Managers and Employees within a fast-paced operational environment.
Whilst the role is part time we can be flexible in how the hours are worked, for example around school times or set days.
The payroll for this position will be administered through our chosen recruitment partner.
