Requirements

  • 4th Class Power Engineer Ticket is required for this role
  • General education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years of related experience and/or trade school training
  • 3 years of job related work experience
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team successfully
  • Computer experience includes Microsoft Office products and asset maintenance software such as CMMS applications, asset management databases, and electronic work-order and service request systems
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned daily rounds and routines at various buildings such as inspection of normal operations of HVAC, AHU, Steam Boilers, Sump pit pumps, Building Automation System and all other facilities equipment and ancillaries.
  • Assists with installation, modification, and troubleshooting of building equipment systems. Not limited to plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
  • Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility. Cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps as required.
  • Possesses a strong environmental, health and safety mindset.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed both contractors and co workers.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours. Be available to respond to emergencies and planned after hours work if needed.
  • Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to review and manage assigned work orders. Prioritize and track completion of building repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining & keeping records of inventories and supply of HVAC filters, chemicals for water treatment of Steam Boilers and to provide order information to the manager of necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
