Requirements

  • 8 – 10 Years of experience in Exterior/Interior/Chassis system and sub-system level designs – New Part design
  • Solid fundamental knowledge of chassis component production technologies and materials; casting, forging, machining, pressing, sheet metal, injection molding, extrusion, welding, stamping, rolling of aluminum, steel, magnesium & polymers.
  • Experience in sheet metal & casting solid surface creation & Chassis components.
  • Detailed understanding of the Ford design standards and Global regulations (SDS, VDS, FMVSS, ECE, FECDS…..)
  • Flexibility to work for any region specific time zones.
  • Ability to work independently in a semi structured environment.
  • Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks (OPD, NPD, BOM, Illustrations and Homologation drawings) simultaneously each with deadlines.
  • Trouble shooting Knowledge in CAD development process (AL, PL, etc)
  • Knowledge in DPA 0/1 Checks to be performed (E2Ks)
  • Fundamental knowledge of Plastics design and manufacturing feasibilities.
  • Knowledge in GPDS milestones and deliverables
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in CAD modeling software CATIA V5 (Various required Modules)
  • Experience in Team center
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Knowledge in function of automotive Brakes, Wheels, Suspension Commodities.
  • Knowledge in Sheet metal, Casting & Plastics manufacturing processes, assembly sequence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality and timely deliverable of Ford Global Projects
  • Ensuring 100% compliance to program quality checklist process updating it as and when required.
  • To lead the Ford Global projects and continuously enhancing the knowledge on respective chassis systems and people management skills.
  • Ensuring the project master document and other project related documents up-to-date.
  • Presenting & participating in project review meetings to senior management.
  • Maintaining the project status metrics and review with senior management on a regular basis.
  • Must be a good team player
