What qualifications are required for the Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist position?
Candidates must demonstrate a postgraduate level of working through a continuous development portfolio and possess evidence of leadership, mentorship, and specialist experience in cardiovascular physiology. Professional registration, such as RCCP or AHCS, is preferred.
What type of training will I be expected to provide in this role?
You will be responsible for training all relevant members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in both routine and complex cardiac investigations.
Will I be working independently or as part of a team?
You will be working closely with consultant cardiologists, clinical cardiac physiology leads, advanced nurse practitioners, and other medical colleagues, contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment.

Where will I be working?
The role is within the Cardiac Physiology department that operates across four sites: the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington, and Horton General Hospital in Banbury, as well as community hubs.
