Responsibilities

  • The position is responsible for the sourcing of equipment/material in the specified category. The job involves defining and executing category strategy, working closely with the global category manager, using budgetary measures, developing supplier panel, supporting project procurement management and driving activities based on supply market changes in order to contribute to E&C competitiveness and performance.
  • Negotiate supply agreements for assigned category as directed.
  • Contribute to category management, in addition to direct operational buying at E&C center level.
  • Be involved during Project Proposal phase for assigned category.
  • Develop Commercial Bid Analysis under Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) consideration.
  • Recommend for purchase to Project Procurement Manager, Project Manager, Global Category Management and Centre Procurement Director, as applicable.
  • Support warranty case clarification / claim management.
  • Identify track and report key performance indicators / performance metrics.
  • Provide category input / support to other E&C functions such as Project Management, Sales and Business Development, Products/Technology.
