Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales calls to build customer relationships and prospect for new customers in line with business strategic goals
  • Understand customer needs and align them with ExxonMobil's offering of products and solutions
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, issues, claims, and disputes; collaborate internally with marketing, technology, customer service, and supply chain to meet customer needs
  • Negotiate prices and commercial terms within organizational guidelines
  • Ensure sales forecast accuracy and manage volume activities to enable optimal supply positioning
  • Establish account plans for key customers; draft contracts aligned with business strategies and contracting guidelines
  • Manage customer performance in line with agreements and assess the effects of market fluctuations on current contracts
  • Support Marketing in developing value-in-use assessments for new product developments
  • Identify and manage a pipeline of new opportunities to capture improved value and volume growth
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to record and manage growth pipeline, account plans, contract management, call reports, etc.
  • Be a valuable member of one or more cross-functional teams, such as the Market Segment Team, Application Development Team, and Pipeline Management Team
  • Represent ExxonMobil and our brands to customers, value chain partners, and the general public at industry events
