GSL Education is seeking a energetic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join a school within Birmingham particularly around Great Barr, Perry Barr and West Bromwich areas. This role starts from September 2024 on a long term to permanent basis.

The hours are 8am – 3.30pm

Qualified Chemistry Teacher

Location: Birmingham

Pay: £130 – 170 per day

The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for students, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Responsibilities


 * Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in Science, incorporating both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
 * Differentiate instruction to accommodate the varying learning styles and abilities of students.
 * Develop and deliver engaging chemistry lessons to high school students.
 * Prepare and implement laboratory experiments to enhance learning.
 * Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support.
 * Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary curricula and share best practices.
 * Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development.
   
   

Requirements


 * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
 * The ability to deliver the national curriculum in Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
 * Be passionate and dedicated to supporting every student to reach their full potential
 * Specialism in either Science and Chemistry area, with demonstrable expertise in the subject area.
 * Must hold a Chemistry Degree or similar.
 * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
 * Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for lifelong learning.
