Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Driver's License Requirements:
  • An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior OSHA HAZWOPER and other safety trainings
  • Candidate who has or is on track for EIT certification.
  • Candidate who has a desire to advance their career to a task manager
  • Candidate who is willing to travel for field work (e.g. day travel or overnight travel).

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, performs basic engineering tasks for remediation and solid waste sites (shop drawing reviews, engineering specifications, field work, etc.) and basic complexity engineering designs to meet client project requirements including site layout development, site grading and drainage, and stormwater infrastructure and treatment. Prepares and reviews environmental and remediation documents, including draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all investigations and designs. Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure studies and designs are aligned with client and location specifications. Updates studies and design requirements as necessary. Performs water quality analyses. Performs field work, applicants should be prepared to spend at least 50% of their time in the field. Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Performs other duties as required. May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.
