Requirements

  • Ability and interest in working on a variety of renewables (solar, wind, etc.) type of projects for various clients.
  • Seeking a motivated individual who is, enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of general concepts of civil engineering design.
  • Desire to work on projects with a focus on sustainability and green infrastructure.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs and other similar materials.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.
  • Strong interest in community development engineering disciplines.
  • Proficient with of Microsoft Office Suite and basic understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Must have good driving record, and valid driver’s license.
  • Your Capabilities and Credentials:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and successful completion of the EIT exam or the ability to take the EIT exam within six months of starting preferred
  • Related Co-op/Internship experience preferred for new graduates; 1-2 years of related civil engineering experience for more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform civil design and technical tasks on projects under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project.
  • Perform field work/construction observation under the supervision of a senior engineer/designer and/or construction manager.
  • Perform data analysis and calculations to analyze and design civil system components.
  • Collect data and gathering information to support design decisions.
  • Interpret and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
  • Analyze proposed project solutions to ensure reliability, resource efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and written, with project team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
