What are the requirements for applying to the Clinical Fellow FY2/ST1 in Oncology roles?
Applicants should be post F2 or post IMT Resident Doctors with prior NHS experience. Prior Oncology experience is desirable but not essential.
Are these positions full-time or part-time?
The roles can be either full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's preference.
Where will the roles be based?
The positions are based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, with potential travel to peripheral clinics in Eastbourne or Worthing, up to once a week.
What are the working hours for this role?
Working hours will be between 08:30 and 18:00, Monday to Friday, with no overnight or weekend work required.
Will there be any support for onboarding and training?
Yes, there will be a detailed induction process and ongoing support to help develop oncology-specific knowledge throughout the year.
Is there an opportunity for leadership and service development in this position?
Yes, each post includes protected project time for leading service development projects, which will enhance leadership skills and support career development.
Can I gain clinical experience in oncology clinics or radiotherapy planning?
Yes, there will be opportunities to participate in oncology clinics and radiotherapy planning on a rotational basis.
Who will supervise the Clinical Fellows?
Each Clinical Fellow will have a designated Consultant Supervisor and day-to-day supervision from the on-call SpR and Consultant.
