What is the duration of the Clinical Fellowship posts?
The initial tenure for the Clinical Fellowship posts will be for 6 to 12 months, by mutual agreement.
What areas can I specialize in during the fellowship?
The fellowship can be pursued in various areas including Medical Education, Simulation, Research, Quality Improvement, Intensive Care Medicine, and Perioperative Medicine.
What will my on-call commitments look like?
The post holder will participate in a 1:8 Anaesthetic EWTD compliant full shift on-call rota, covering Theatres, Obstetric anaesthesia, or Critical Care depending on service needs.
What are the normal working hours for this position?
Normal working days consist of clinical duties from 08:00 to 17:30 or non-clinical educational/fellow duties from 08:30 to 17:00.
Will I have the opportunity to engage in clinical work?
Yes, the post holder will undertake clinical work as dictated by the weekly anaesthetic rota in clinical areas suitable for their experience, which includes Operating Theatres, the Maternity Unit, and the Intensive Care Units.
Is there flexibility in the role regarding work duties?
Yes, the post holder is expected to maintain a flexible approach to work and may be required to change clinical duties on short notice to accommodate emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
