What are the primary responsibilities of the Clinical Fellow?
The primary responsibilities include routine patient reviews, progressing care, prescribing, requesting and evaluating tests, and liaising with medical and allied health professionals.
Will there be opportunities for educational development?
Yes, there will be educational opportunities throughout the working week, including participation in clinical governance, frailty and liaison work, departmental meetings, and quality improvement projects.
Who will supervise the Clinical Fellow post?
Each post-holder will have a Consultant Clinical Supervisor to guide their training and development.
What are the working hours for this position?
The post is whole-time, with specific hours to be discussed during the interview process.
How many sessions of QI or Clinic/Frailty SDEC are included per week?
There is one session of QI or Clinic/Frailty SDEC per week.
Can I gain experience in both acute care and outpatient settings?
Yes, the role will involve rotation between Medicine for Older People Wards and participation in outpatient clinics.
