The primary responsibility of a Clinical Informatics Specialist is to lead and coordinate activities of an interdisciplinary clinical project team in the analysis, design, implementation, evaluation, and support of clinical applications, focusing on oncology ordersets, clinical documentation, and registration workflows.
What educational qualifications are required for this position?
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or another clinical discipline is preferred, along with a Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems-related discipline. A Master’s degree in Health Informatics or related fields is preferred.
What experience is preferred for candidates applying for this role?
Previous experience in clinical systems implementation is preferred, along with a clinical background of at least 5 years.
