Responsibilities

  • - Organise and deliver the Breast Care specialty week for Year 4 students on the Manchester MBChB
  • - Organize student timetables as they attend clinic, theatre, and the ward
  • - Work closely with the Undergraduate Medical Education Department in the ERC
  • - Involve direct teaching of undergraduate medical students around breast examination and triple assessment and communication skills
  • - Work as a Clinical Skills Tutor in Undergraduate Medicine in the ERC building
  • - Assist in direct teaching of breast examination and principles of Triple Assessment during Monday morning and afternoon
  • - Facilitate Themed Case Discussions and clinical debrief with medical students on Fridays
  • - Facilitate assessment and sign-off of the students each Friday afternoon
  • - Check that the students have completed their online tasks and attended appropriate clinical sessions
  • - Demonstrate reflection for their portfolio
  • - Liaise with clinical colleagues to arrange learning opportunities for the students in theatre and clinics from Tuesday to Thursday
