Responsibilities

  • Liaises with bid defense teams to establish selling narrative, win strategy and ensure communication and collaboration in line with business development needs
  • Collaborates with BD and leads bid defense meeting preps in-house and onsite on assigned opportunities, including support with slide creation, strategy alignment
  • Supports the BDM functional service area lead with training and mentoring on how to deliver key message & presentation skills
  • Leverage SMEs for thoughtleadership & client engagement during BDM, as necessary
  • Collaborates with business development, cross-functional proposal development teams, and therapeutic areas (TAs) across business units to develop tailored solutions for clients (new and existing) across all business units within PPD
  • Supports analysis of territory portfolio alignment planning for new and existing clients within regional portfolio to increase market opportunities in support of business development goals and targets
  • As needed, meets with clients in support of business development to better articulate the strategy from an operational perspective in order to gain client buy-in
  • Develops and presents materials that articulate strategic models to internal & external stakeholders as required
  • Assists in the enhancement of processes and tools to track and / or analyze account performance and territory / customer segmentation performance
  • Liaise with marketing to provide the required support to strengthen the BDM strategy and impact via client specific campaign and/or graphic design support
  • Supports the regional portfolio operations, alignment and strategy
  • Helps to develop and implement various commercial and operational initiatives that improve the monitoring, management, and successful strategies of commercial accounts
  • Assists and helps lead in the development of reporting tools and capabilities that drive operational strategy and commercial success
