Requirements

Superb educational attainment with a PhD in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field at a leading academic institution
Minimum GPA of 3.7 / high 2:1 for bachelor’s degree
Comprehensive understanding of at least one of the following: sub-seasonal to seasonal predictability, mid-latitude predictability, synoptic meteorology, tropical variability, numerical weather prediction
Excellent Python coding skills for data analysis
Good knowledge of statistics
Excellent research skills, tenacity to discover and test new ideas
Exceptional communication skills: ability to get complex ideas across in simple terms
Self-starter. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding and changing commercial environment

Responsibilities

As a Weather Analyst, your role will comprise applied research into atmospheric predictability, data analysis and visualization, operational weather prediction and communication of weather signals.
Through these activities, you will improve our understanding and prediction of atmospheric variability on weekly to monthly scales. You will collaborate with the existing team of academically trained meteorologists, as well as software developers and data scientists.
