What is the location of the Compliance, Health & Safety and Environmental Manager (CHSE) position?

What qualifications are required for the CHSE Manager role?
A NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Health and Safety (or equivalent) is required, along with Grad IOSH or equivalent status.
What experience is necessary for this role?
Relevant work experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or construction is necessary, along with a good working knowledge of Environmental Permitting regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
Are there any specific standards or systems knowledge that would be advantageous?
Yes, knowledge of EN 15593 GMP standard, BS EN ISO 50001, FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody Standards, and MCERTS would be advantageous.
Will I have the opportunity to manage a team?
Yes, you will manage the Compliance department, including line management and mentoring of a full-time Compliance Assistant.
Is on-call duty required for this role?
Yes, you will be on the Duty Managers rota and will be on call approximately 1 week in 8.
What kind of reporting will I be responsible for in this role?
You will be responsible for reporting sustainability, environmental, health, and safety statistics to relevant stakeholders and maintaining systems for reporting non-conformances and incidents.
Will I need to travel for this position?
Yes, occasional travel will be required to participate in group and external conferences and meetings.
