Responsibilities

  • Alongside HR Executives, develop an overall Companywide compliance strategy: updating annually based on current operational and financial environment
  • Research current laws, rules, and other regulatory requirements to assess the Company's activity and exposure for existing and emerging risks; evaluate the materiality of the risks identified, and draft or update Compliance Manual, training materials, and internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment and coverage
  • Regularly assess the Organization's procedures and practices to identify possible weaknesses and determine best practices; create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries
  • Work alongside leadership on external survey prep, day of audit needs and any associated corrective action plan
  • Develop and provide leadership and employee training on compliance policies, procedures and reporting practices/forms, sending out reminders and updates
  • Utilize the compliance folder for tracking and storing all compliance related documents, forms and reports; ensuring access to share folder is locked down to only necessary executives and employees
  • Oversee the Company's HIPAA program; successfully tracking breaches, communicating effectively to all involved parties as required and updating policies and education material/trainings annually
  • Adhere to regulatory and Company reporting guidelines and filing deadlines and submit all reports in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Other compliance duties as assigned
