Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a compliance function, preferably in asset management or asset servicing, Corporate Service providing, Banks or a relevant financial institution.
  • Good understanding of the Dutch Wwft and Wtt regulations and the expectations of the Dutch regulator.
  • Master degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience, preferable with a compliance certification.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, pragmatic and hands on mentality.
  • Strong planning and project management skills an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with sound judgement.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • You can take on and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Experience of working in a global firm (advantage).
  • Experienced in working with regulatory bodies (advantage).
  • Fluency in English and Dutch language required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compliance support to Citco Netherlands (regulated) and smaller Citco entities in Europe. You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with members of the Group Compliance team, Business Management and also in particular with other Group functions such as Group Risk, Group Legal and Group Tax in order to advise and escalate matters where appropriate;
  • Give advice and support to staff on compliance related matters such as AML and KYC, data protection and confidentiality, outsourcing organization, corporate governance and ESG;
  • Analyze reporting of suspicions concerning transaction and activities and report as appropriate;
  • Write policies, keep them up to date with new developments and review on a regular basis;
  • Develop and enhance the compliance reporting to include analysis of compliance metrics and KRIs.
  • Provide input and represent Group Compliance in the entity key compliance & risk committees;
  • Work with small (global) teams in tight deadline situations;
  • Participate in change management projects that may be defined from time to time in conjunction with the development of the Compliance function;
  • Work with local management in the coordination and delivery of compliance related training across Citco Group. This will include the assessing the compliance training needs and the creation and delivery of such training;
  • Willing to travel in Europe occasionally
  • Attend industry seminars, regulatory briefings and updates.
