What qualifications are required for the Consultant Radiology position?
A graduate of an approved Medical School with a valid license to practice medicine is required, or certification by the American Board of Radiology or possession of a FRCR (Canada) in Diagnostic Radiology, or the English FRCR (or equivalent).
How much experience is needed for this role?
The position requires specialized training or 4 years of experience as a practicing radiologist.
Is knowledge of languages other than English necessary?
Excellent command of oral and written English is required, while knowledge of the Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
What types of imaging procedures will I be performing?
You will interpret and perform diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures such as plain films, fluoroscopy, GI studies, angiography, invasive procedures, CT, ultrasound, and MRI.
Will I be involved in training new staff?
Yes, you will participate in the orientation of new technologists and new radiologists.
Is on-call emergency coverage required for this position?
Yes, the position requires providing on-call emergency coverage.
What kind of administrative support is available?
Administrative support is provided by the Chief Radiologist.
Are there any specific policies I need to comply with?
Yes, you must comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, as well as waste management procedures and policies.

Communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients, and families.
What kind of involvement will I have in quality improvement programs?
You will participate in the Quality Improvement Program of the hospital to meet international standards.
