Requirements

  • You will have a high level of spelling and grammar, knowledge of terminology across fashion and lifestyle categories, and exceptional attention to detail. You will have strong IT skills, and experience using a Content Management System (CMS) would also be beneficial.
  • Prior experience in copywriting is not essential, but evidence of relevant work experience, writing background, or other writing positions would be beneficial
  • Good attention to detail – able to follow processes and interpret information
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong collaborative nature
  • The ability to proactively respond to writing feedback

Responsibilities

  • Paying close attention to detail, our Copywriters write succinct, accurate and commercially-focused product descriptions, highlighting key features to engage the harrods.com customer.
  • Writing an average of 40 product description per day across all luxury categories (fashion, accessories, childrenswear, home, food and more), our Copywriters are able to interact with the physical products and draw on their knowledge of fashion terminology, trends, and research skills to write these descriptions.
  • Our Copywriters interpret and implement information provided by brands for our vendor workflow, ensuring copy is accurate, but reinterpreted in the Harrods tone of voice.
  • This role is also responsible for spot checking for errors on the live harrods.com site, as well as taking part in sub-editing swaps with other Copywriters to develop and refine their editorial skills.
