Requirements

  • LLB or equivalent legal qualification in the UK.
  • Between 5 and 7 years of post-qualification experience gained either in a reputable City law firm (or equivalent) and/or in-house in a large company supporting IT contracts’ negotiation.
  • Solid experience in dealing with data privacy and intellectual property legal matters.
  • Previous Financial Services and FinTech expertise is a bonus.
  • Previous Public Sector experience is a bonus.
  • Fluency in other European languages is an advantage.
  • Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills, as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong demonstrable competencies in spotting legal, business and operational issues.
  • Knows how to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and displays excellent judgement during pressure.
  • Experience in managing internal stakeholders and managing escalations appropriately with thoughtful insightful recommendations.
  • Client-oriented and has a desire to work on cutting-edge technology legal issues in a high-energy, sales-oriented culture.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment with a large volume of deals, and ready to go the extra mile when needed. Calm under pressure and practical.
  • Familiar with and interested in technological areas (SaaS/cloud computing/Web applications/digital transformation/Artificial Intelligence).
  • Authenticity, enthusiasm, a team-player with a can-do attitude, overall a good human being.
  • A sense of humor is a big plus!

Responsibilities

  • Main duties would be to draft, negotiate and revise complex legal agreements to support sales and professional services teams and handle complex legal issues with limited supervision.
  • Ensure compliance and work closely with data privacy and security experts.
  • Partner with the extended support teams (including sales operations and finance teams) to support and develop processes for contract and knowledge base management, order processing and revenue recognition.
  • Manage various legal projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in cross-regional team projects.
  • Deliver training sessions to the sales teams.
