What is the primary mission of the Data Center Network Services team?
The primary mission is to build the network of the future that is adaptable and agile on Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), a software-defined networking solution.
What type of experience is required for this role?
A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, operating, and managing scalable data center network infrastructure is required.
What programming languages and tools should a candidate be familiar with?
Candidates should have strong skills in using Python and Ansible, as well as familiarity with technologies such as Docker Container, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and RestFull API.
Are there any certifications that are required or preferred for this position?
A CCNA certification is a must, while CCNP or CCIE certifications are considered a plus.
What types of technologies will I be working with in this role?
You will work with technologies including Routing, Switching, SDN/ACI, Nexus, VPC, VDC, Fabric Path, VLAN, VXLAN, local and global load balancers, and application firewalls.
Is experience with cloud infrastructure important for this role?
Yes, a high-level understanding of private and public cloud infrastructure is beneficial.
