Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of BigQuery or similar, inclusive of creating extracts that are able to ingested into visualisation tools, like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • An understanding of big data and/or data warehousing architecture, with hands on experience of building batch or real-time data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data modelling techniques such as de-normalised views, star schemas, OLAP cubes etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in: Advanced SQL, Python and ideally Java or Scala.
  • Working knowledge on any public cloud, preferably Google Cloud Platform (including components such as GCS buckets, BigQuery, PubSub, Dataflow or equivalents).
  • Experience in Agile Methodology.
  • Exposure or experience with Apache Spark or similar toolsets would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Commercial and Retail Banking.
