Requirements

  • Ability to analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team on multiple tasks and assignments
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Required:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics or related field
  • Strong academic track record with extracurricular activities (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Preferred:
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with client-facing deal teams, you will provide recommendations that are aligned with an organization’s business goals and overall strategic and transactional objectives. Constructing financial models to help clients assess growth strategies, capital structure decisions, and transaction alternatives will help you develop a comprehensive technical skill set. Concurrently, you will employ a number of core valuation methodologies to help businesses evaluate their worth in the marketplace and advise them on appropriate ranges at which to conduct transactions. Also, you will have the opportunity to learn how to appropriately position businesses in the investor community by articulating value propositions and anticipating potential concerns. Across these responsibilities, you will receive considerable exposure to senior bankers and clients as you participate in each phase of the transaction process.
