Responsibilities

  • - Provide comprehensive dental nurse support in the form of clinical and associated clerical duties to the dental team within the remit of the Community & Special Care Service.
  • - Assist in the provision of oral health care including the prevention and health education to individual clients who may have learning or physical difficulties, mental health illness, be medically compromised, dependent elderly or have a dental phobia.
  • - Act as a link person for the service and clinical staff providing oral care for clients who are unable to accept routine treatment and who require special care dentistry.
  • - Provide inclusive care in community clinics and also on a domiciliary basis in care homes, patients' own homes and secure units; you will also be required to work at other community dental sites to cover annual leave and absence.
