Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
  • 0-4+ years of transportation roadway design experience
  • Registration as an EI or Professional Engineer with the State of Florida
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and/or Open Roads
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on limited access projects
  • Experience working on alternative delivery projects
  • Experience with 3D corridor modeling

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and Temporary Traffic Control details
  • Creation of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports
  • Assist Project Managers and Senior Engineers with roadway design task production and maintaining project documentation
  • Perform MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes using 3D modeling
  • Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams
