Responsibilities

  • As a Design Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will join a growing team responsible for delivering the facilities and regulatory justification to undertake the removal of nuclear fuel from the growing legacy of the UK’s decommissioned SSN fleet, as part of the wider submarine disposal project.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll lead technical teams to meet the customer and regulatory requirements for defuel projects.
  • contribute to the overall through life management plan for the facilities
  • Working with project management teams to deliver the required assets and equipment to time, cost, and quality
  • Contribute to the strategic plan for how we will develop and maintain these assets of national importance
  • Using a systematic approach to demonstrate functionality in accordance with requirements
  • Report on progress to senior levels of management.
