  • Arup’s Foresight team delivers thought leadership, insights, strategy, and innovation on the future of the built environment.
  • Situated within the wider Arup University group we help Arup and our clients deliver excellence by engaging people in strategic conversations about change.
  • We are a multi-disciplinary team of consultants, engineers, architects and designers that help our clients understand change, identify emerging opportunities, and future-proof their business.
  • From envisioning the future of mail and parcel logistics to researching the future design and operations of a city district, we answer complex questions that require a broad and holistic look at the future.
  • Our designers play an integral role in researching and delivering foresight products and services for our internal and external clients.
  • The position of a designer will be multifaceted; it will range from design research, prototyping physical and digital concepts, visualising and testing ideas, film, interaction and exhibition work all using design tools and foresight methodologies to critically engage with ideas about the future.
  • Amongst this wider range of competencies the core expectation for this designer is to be the go-to person in the team for graphic and report design.
