  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure deployment and management
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Previous development experience in a Linux environment
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Prior experience architecting scalable infrastructure for large-scale SaaS microservice deployments to public cloud
  • Experience with API integrations, VM or container generation mechanics, build environments, etc.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of public technologies, networking concepts & security best practices

Responsibilities

  • The DevOps Technical Lead role works alongside our VP of Security Innovation to develop the data, control, and management planes driving our next-generation security product, Cisco Hypershield. This position is critical in helping to architect scalable infrastructure for large-scale SaaS microservices deployments to the public cloud.
  • In this role, you should expect to review existing technologies, identify areas to leverage and drive improvement, and create groundbreaking new technology from scratch. You will have influence with AI implementation, compiling core C code, packaging virtual machines, performance harnesses, AWS deployment and more. You will also be responsible for managing a strong CI/CD pipeline.
  • You will be looked to both internally and externally Cisco for your expertise, and as such must have deep experience in firewalls, secure web gateways, and/or SASE/SSE. You will use this knowledge coupled with your ambition to write high-quality, production-ready code to re-invent security with us.
