Responsibilities

  • Create high levels of employee engagement that result in achieving maximum standards for production, quality, safety, and positive employee/labor relations.
  • Guide continuous process improvement using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies in the areas of cost, service, and productivity while driving employee engagement. Work in partnership to ensure inventory is available and product is shipped to customer specifications.
  • Guide programs to build working relationships with both Company and Union leadership to encourage a partnership resulting in a productive and adaptable working environment.
  • Guide health and safety programs together with our health and safety experts to enhance associate safety and ensure the facility is in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Prepare and manage annual budget to include capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor costs.
  • Hire and develop the management team and first level supervisors to create a succession plan in the facility. Develops direct reports to ensure succession plans are in place. Ensure supervisor development includes technical and soft skills to support creating a work environment in which associates feel valued.
  • Create network programs aimed at improving processes, driving consistencies, and ensuring best practices are shared.
  • Manage and guide overall performance of direct reports through leadership and development.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability (ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems).
  • Excellent communication skills in the new world of remote & on-line working and highly collaborative with the ability to influence across the matrix and to build connections to enable success.
  • Establish partnerships with teams across the company to ensure that customer service goals are met.
