  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Must possess a JD from top-tier law school.
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience at a major law firm or in-house.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar or other U.S. state bar required.

  • Must be willing to work in Miami, Florida or Universal City, California.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate contracts, including primarily agreements relating to the licensing of film and television content for television and “digital”/“new media” customers worldwide in various media (including linear free/basic/pay television, AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, EST and other developing media).
  • Advise and coordinate with sales liaison executives, marketing, technology experts and administrative personnel to identify and resolve business and legal issues (including issues relating to contract interpretation) and provide ongoing counsel, advice, and support.
  • Provide oversight of general legal and business practices and standards and oversight of certain litigation matters.
  • Provide oversight of regulatory and other legal compliance matters relating to content distribution.
  • Direct other special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by management.

This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, as well as various discounts and perks. The salary range is $140,000-$170,000 for Director and $165,000-$200,000 for Senior Director, with both bonus and long-term incentive eligibility.
