Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the areas of performance management, career development, strategy, and stakeholder management to a global team of 2 talent management experts.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of Talent team colleagues to create and implement a comprehensive talent strategy to advance the Commercial talent pipeline with a focus on critical roles.
  • Partner with the BHR VP for International Therapeutics, area and affiliate BHR, and other key stakeholders to influence talent and development strategies, in alignment with the broader AbbVie Talent Management strategy and practices.
  • Partner with and coach leadership to identify top talent within the organization and differentiate their development, creating a deep pipeline of talent. Provide input into the design of development actions to fill gaps for high potential employees and high performing teams through data-driven insights. Guide Human Resources and Business Leaders to adopt an enterprise approach to managing and developing talent and make associated talent decisions that align with the business strategy.
  • Collaborate as a peer with the Talent Management leads for other Commercial Business Units to ensure processes are aligned and deliver cross-functional and cross-area talent development and deployment.
  • Lead process implementation for Performance Management and Talent Reviews; train BHR on practice, process and tools. Support BHR and leaders to implement the practices consistently. Drive better process and talent outcomes year over year.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to BHR and business leaders and talent authority in providing proficient consultation on all phases of talent management such as succession planning, performance management, assessment and feedback, development planning, and senior leader transitions. Appropriately challenge to obtain ideal outcomes.
  • Lead several forums with senior level business leaders and HR to drive talent sharing across the Commercial organization.
