What are the working hours for the Domestic (Cleaner) position?
The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Is prior experience required for this role?
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided for all new staff.

What type of cleaning will I be responsible for?
You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in clinical areas, public areas, and external areas, as well as performing deep cleans, isolation cleans, and spot cleaning as needed.
What equipment will I be using in this role?
You will be operating various cleaning equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring it remains in good working order at all times.
How do you ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors during cleaning?
You will identify areas to be cleaned and plan and organize a cleaning program in coordination with relevant ward or departmental staff, ensuring that safety is not compromised.
Where will I be working if I take this position?
You will primarily work at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, but we operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital, as well as various community healthcare premises.
