Which hospitals will I be working at?
You may be working at any of the three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), or Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as several community healthcare premises.
What cleaning standards will I need to adhere to?
You will need to follow national and local guidelines for cleaning, including COSHH assessments and Safety Data sheets when preparing, using, and disposing of cleaning chemicals.
Will I have support while performing my cleaning duties?
Yes, you will be supported by clinical staff as appropriate, especially when carrying out spot cleaning and handling spillages.
What safety measures are in place regarding the cleaning equipment used?
You will be expected to operate cleaning equipment and machinery according to the manufacturer's instructions and ensure it is in good working order, reporting any faults to your supervisor immediately.
