The primary responsibility of a Dosimetrist is the design, development, measurement, calculation, calibration, and implementation of radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist under the direction of the Medical Physicist.
What qualifications are required to apply for this position?
Candidates must meet the education requirements of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) for Certified Medical Dosimetrists (CMDs), hold a Washington Radiologic Technologist license upon hire, and be a National Certified Medical Dosimetrist in good standing.
