What is the primary responsibility of the Electrical Designer?
The primary responsibility of the Electrical Designer is to provide solutions to problems in the Electrical Design discipline, evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and/or scientific procedures without requiring supervisory approval.
What types of deliverables will the Electrical Designer be responsible for preparing?
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for preparing key project deliverables such as block diagrams, area classification drawings, one-line diagrams, motor control schematics, lighting layout drawings, cable tray drawings, and many others.
What qualifications are required for this Electrical Designer position?
A diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of detailed electrical design experience. Familiarity with standards, codes, and guidelines such as NEC and NFPA is also essential.
Which software tools are essential for this position?
Experience using AutoCAD, Microstation, Smartsketch, SP3D, E3D, or PDMS is essential for this position. The use of Dialux or Chalmlite for lighting calculations and Roxtec Tool for MCT sizing is preferred.
