Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field and minimum 2 years of related experience, or Masters Degree in a STEM related field and 2 years related experience
  • Current US DoD Secret Security clearance is required
  • Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full time
  • Prior experience with the design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components, electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), or subsystems
  • Knowledge and application of industry electrical engineering technical standards; demonstrated electrical component design experience and impact assessment / DAR development exposure
  • Experience with circuit design, signal monitoring, circuit power, and fault isolation
  • Experience using analytical software tools, such as MATLAB or Python, to analyze and reduce data to identify key characteristics and trends
  • Ability to travel at least 10%
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus
  • DOORS and/or CAMEO exposure
  • Experience in one or more of the following system engineering knowledge areas: technical planning, requirements derivation, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, cost and risk analysis, interface definition, system design, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical power distribution and design systems
  • Able to interpret and develop electrical schematics
  • Experience with requirements-driven hardware design and circuitry design
  • Demonstrated expert-level understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards
  • Experience with classified test systems or systems subject to cyber security policies and risk management framework (RMF)
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with printed circuit board design and layout using ECAD tools
  • Perform Qualification testing, characterization testing, troubleshooting, and test data review of completed designs
  • Formal Release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures
  • Burndown of nonconformances and/or root cause failure analysis of electronic systems
  • Problem solving not only for technical issues, but also for schedule, cost, resource and other project challenges
  • LabVIEW programming and experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software products
  • LabVIEW FPGA development experience
  • Experience with telemetry systems
  • Experience with mission critical and safety critical systems, components, connectors, cables, etc.
  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Core Standards: MDA-QS-001-MAP, MDA-QS-003-PMAP, MDA Instruction 5000.20-INS (ETR Process)
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1901A, MIL-STD-882, EWR-127, RCC 319, RCC 324, DoDEA 8510.01, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab, ECSS-ST-50-11C
  • Familiarity with the GMD domain and GMD Launch Support Systems hardware
  • Experience in Siemens Xpedition
  • Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration
  • Clearance Level: Secret

Responsibilities

  • - Candidates will focus on Circuit Design supporting the development of GWS Hardware Engineering who is able to engage in complex design development.
  • - Design efforts and work will be performed within an Agile environment.
  • - Your core tasks will entail the development of electrical component design solutions.
  • - Under the direction of your product line owners, responsibilities include developing and evaluating electrical circuit design efforts.
  • - Perform Qualification testing, characterization testing, troubleshooting, and test data review of completed designs.
