Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM related field with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Current US DoD Secret Security clearance is required
  • Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full time
  • Prior experience with the design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components, electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), or subsystems
  • Understanding and application of industry electrical engineering technical standards; demonstrated electrical component design experience and impact assessment / DAR development exposure
  • Experience with circuit design, signal monitoring, circuit power, and fault isolation
  • Experience using analytical software tools, such as MATLAB or Python, to analyze and reduce data to identify key characteristics and trends
  • Ability to travel at least 10%

Responsibilities

  • Developing and evaluating electrical circuit design efforts
  • Engaging in complex design development
  • Mentoring junior engineers as needed
  • Performing design efforts and work within an Agile environment
  • Developing electrical component design solutions
  • Supporting the development of GWS Hardware Engineering
  • Performing qualification testing, characterization testing, troubleshooting, and test data review of completed designs
  • Releasing engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures
  • Conducting burndown of nonconformances and/or root cause failure analysis of electronic systems
  • Problem solving for technical issues, schedule, cost, resource, and other project challenges
  • Programming in LabVIEW and experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software products
  • Developing LabVIEW FPGA solutions
  • Working with telemetry systems
  • Handling mission critical and safety critical systems, components, connectors, cables, etc.
  • Interpreting and developing electrical schematics
  • Performing design and layout of printed circuit boards using ECAD tools
  • Understanding and applying industry electrical engineering technical standards
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical power distribution and design systems
